Outono é sinónimo de tricô! Não é? Parece que os primeiros dias de Outono nos trazem à memória os dias frios que vão chegar. Preparar-nos para abraçar uma estação fria e com chuva não é fácil, por isso é importante enchê-la de projectos interessantes e peças que façam desses dias um pouco mais sorridentes.
Eu já agarrei as agulhas e comecei a tricotar para o Outono e Inverno. Vou usar uma lã que comprei em Delft, na Holanda mas que já é possível encontrar por cá! A Alegria é uma mistura de 75% lã merino e 25% poliamida com o nome mais bonito de sempre. Eu confesso que fico sempre reticente com as misturas com materiais sintéticos. E devo confessar que o que me atraiu desta vez foram as cores! Sabem quando entram numa loja de lãs e independentemente daquilo que estão à procura, há um novelo que não vos sai da cabeça? Então, houve um novelo de Alegria, cor Aguayo, ao qual não consegui resistir independentemente das misturas. Surpreendentemente a lã é das mais suaves de todas as que já trabalhei e achei de imediato que um acessório feito com ela teria a suavidade ideal. Mas só me permiti comprar um novelo e depois disso entrei na missão de encontrar um bom projecto para o utilizar. O ideal seria um xaile mas estava na dúvida de que conseguisse encontrar um projecto para um xaile que usasse apenas um novelo.
Felizmente, a Justyna Lorkowska a designer que tanto aprecio, tem este modelo precisamente a pedir para usar o meu exclusivo novelo de Alegria. Como já fiz outras peças dela, nomeadamente o xaile do qual vos falei aqui e aqui, acho mesmo que vou avançar e montar as malhas!

Autumn means knitting! Doesn’t it? It seems that the first days of autumn remind us of the cold days ahead. Preparing ourselves to embrace a cold and rainy season is not easy, so it’s important to fill it with interesting projects and pieces that make those days a little happier.
I already grabbed my needles and started knitting for autumn and winter. I am going to use a this yarn that I bought in Delft, Netherlands, but that is already possible to find here in Portugal! Alegria is a blend of 75% superwash Merino, 25% polyamide with a beautiful name: alegria means “joy” in Spanish and Portuguese. I must confess that I am always reluctant to use yarns that mix synthetic materials. But what attracted me this time was the colors! Do you know when you enter a yarn shop and no matter what you are looking for, is there a ball of yarn that you can not get out of your head? Well, this is it! A skein of Alegria, Aguayo color, to which I could not resist regardless of the materials involved. Surprisingly, the yarn is the softest of all the ones I’ve ever worked with, and I immediately thought that an accessory made with it would have the ideal softness. But I only allowed myself to buy one skein and after that I went on a mission to find a good project to use it. Ideally it would be a shawl but it would be difficult to find a pattern for a shawl that used only one skein.
Fortunately, Justyna Lorkowska, the lovely designer that I adore, has this pattern that was screaming for my exclusive Alegria skein. As I have done other pieces from Justyna, namely the Masgot shawl that I wrote about here and here, I really think that I will move forward and cast it on!
